If you’re a tennis fan or a photography enthusiast you’ll be delighted to know that this autumn will bring to Paris the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event, and the Salon de la Photo will present the latest innovations and technology in a spectacular trade fair.
Game, set and match
Bringing the men’s tennis season to a close, the ninth and final ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event takes place from October 31st to November 6th at the AccorHotels Arena in Bercy, Paris. This major annual tennis tournament is always the scene of titanic clashes between the greatest players in the world and this year promises to be one of the most dynamic yet. Officially known as the BNP Paribas Masters, it offers an electrifying atmosphere and plenty of action and thrills, to the delight of the tennis fans in attendance. Led by the former giant of French tennis, Guy Forget, the tournament takes place after Cincinnati and Shanghai and before the ATP World Tour Finals in London and is one of the most important competitions on the circuit after the Grand Slam tournaments. This year we may discover who, if anyone, is capable of taking the title from the seemingly invincible world No. 1, Novak Djokovic. Established in 1986 and part of the ATP Masters 1000, the Paris tournament takes place in an arena that can accommodate more than 15,000 tennis fans. The 2016 edition may well continue the home crowd’s infatuation with Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, who can snatch a place in the tournament after qualifying for the Toronto Masters. If Djokovic, Federer, Nadal, Murray, Berdych and Wawrinka all qualify, the Paris Masters will be filled with action and suspense to the very end.
