Sensational entertainment at Paradis Latin
Published on 26 October 2014, dans Entertainment
We adore traditional Parisian entertainment here at Hotel Royal Cardinal, and Paradis Latin is definitely one of our favourite venues. Why not plan a truly special evening during your next stay with us? Only a short walk from our hotel, Paradis Latin offers an elegant programme of cabaret favourites like the famous can-can, and what’s more it’s in a magnificent listed building.
Napoleon Bonaparte decided that a theatre should be built in the heart of the Left Bank area of Paris, and the Latin Theatre was inaugurated in 1803. The theatre was renovated by Gustave Eiffel in 1887 as part of extensive preparations for the famous Universal Exhibition of 1889. In the 1970’s the theatre reopened, restored once more to its former glory and is now a listed historic building.
Enjoy a memorable evening in a legendary venue
Paradis Latin is home to one of the most thrilling and spectacular cabaret shows in Paris and you can enjoy stirring music, top comedians and exceptional artists and dancers in a truly fabulous setting. The original gilt columns and sensational décor evoke a bygone age, and it’s the perfect complement to highlights of the show like the much loved can-can.
For a special birthday or anniversary, why not book a dinner show at Paradis Latin? You can also choose to go for the show only, or enjoy a glass of champagne by selecting the Champagne Revue. The theatre is also a stylish choice during the day, and the lunchtime show is every bit as exciting.
If you enjoy entertainment from the decadent days of the Belle-Époque age, you may also like searching for antiques and memorabilia at Bastille Antiques Brocante this November. We’ll be delighted to offer directions to either event, and both are easy to reach from Hotel Paris France.
Bastille Brocante - A Paris tradition
Paris is known for its wonderful food markets and its wide range of flea markets and speciality fairs, and Bastille Brocante Antiques Fair is one of the most eagerly anticipated. Founded in 1969, Antiques Brocante takes place from 6th to 16th November 2014 at Place de Bastille and on both sides of the Arsenal basin. Go along to grab a bargain or search for gifts and keepsakes from hundreds of stalls at Antiques Brocante this autumn.
