The Jardin du Luxembourg is gorgeous and enjoyable to visit all year round. However, the magic of summertime brings all things to life and our gardens are all the more beautiful, colourful and vibrant. With so many things to do in the city, you may feel the need for peace, tranquillity, rest and relaxation. Our gardens provide a quiet natural open space, for you to unwind in, taking a stroll with the family, or that special someone.
The Jardin du Luxembourg is an example of Paris' fine garden spaces, providing public access. This garden, is situated between the Latin Quarter and Saint-German-des-Pres. The Jardin du Luxembourg was initiated by Queen Marie de Medici and inspired by the Baboli Gardens of Florence. Split into English and French sections, the gardens cover 25 hectares of land.
Enjoy a quiet walk or partake in various activities
The surroundings, in the Jardin du Luxembourg, are stunning, with beautiful orchids and rose gardens to marvel at. There is also a large greenhouse, with an array of flowers and plants, and a geometric forest to wander in. The gardens are home to the Orangerie and Pavillon Davioud and 106 statues, distributed throughout the space. Its colossal Medici fountain is highly impressive.
You can partake in several activities, in the Jardin du Luxembourg, such as tennis, bridge and chess, or even try your hand at steering remote control boats on the water. Children are treated to puppeteer acts, slides and rides and free concerts are performed in the bandstand, along with free photography exhibitions, mounted on the railings of the gardens. Our hotel is in close proximity to these amazing gardens. All the more reason to place a booking and enjoy the very best of Paris and our elegant gardens.
